Mediterranean Bronze Age peoples from the Cycladic islands to the near East rendered the human form very simply. Among the most striking works are the so-called Cycladic guitar men, but fluid lines, minimal detail, and schematic features are shared characteristics of many works offering abstract qualities that draw me to them.
